How To Make Smoked Tofu Vegan Burger

Turning vegan may look challenging for some, especially for those who can’t turn their eyes away from meat. But they just haven’t found these sumptuous vegan recipes that even non-vegans will surely enjoy!

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 package of smoked tofu, sliced
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • Vegan mayonnaise
  • Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.

  2. Brush the sliced tofu with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

  3. Grill the tofu for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until it is heated through and has grill marks.

  4. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for a minute or two until lightly toasted.

  5. Assemble the burgers by spreading vegan mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each bun.

  6. Top with grilled tofu, sliced red onion, tomato, and lettuce leaves.

  7. Place the top bun on each burger and serve.
