Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Place potatoes in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  3. Drain the potatoes and return to the pot. Mash them using a potato masher or fork until smooth.

  4. In a small saucepan, add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook over low heat for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat.

  5. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the mashed potatoes. Add the milk, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.

  6. Transfer the mashed potatoes into a greased baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden and slightly crispy.

  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
