How To Make Curried Flatbread

Who says vegetarians don’t get to enjoy savory meals? A taste of these authentic vegetarian recipes will make you change your mind. So, you just might want to go vegetarian after your first bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, curry powder, salt, and baking powder.

  2. Gradually add in the warm water and vegetable oil, mixing until a dough forms.

  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a thin round flatbread.

  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown spots appear.

  6. Remove from the skillet and brush with a little oil or butter.

  7. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro, if desired.

  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
