How To Make Classic Yorkshire Puddings

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 200ml whole milk
  • 140g all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Vegetable oil, for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.

  3. Gradually add the flour and salt, whisking until the batter is smooth and combined.

  4. Leave the batter to rest for 20 minutes.

  5. Meanwhile, brush a 12-hole muffin tin with vegetable oil and place in the hot oven for 5 minutes.

  6. Remove the tin from the oven and quickly pour the batter evenly into each hole.

  7. Return the tin to the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the puddings are risen, golden, and crispy.

  8. Serve immediately.
