How To Make Vegan Hot Chocolate

Turning vegan may look challenging for some, especially for those who can’t turn their eyes away from meat. But they just haven’t found these sumptuous vegan recipes that even non-vegans will surely enjoy!

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of unsweetened almond milk
  • 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 4 tablespoons of maple syrup or sweetener of choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Vegan whipped cream, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the almond milk over medium heat until steaming, but not boiling.

  2. Whisk in the cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined and smooth.

  3. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the hot chocolate is heated through.

  4. Remove from heat and ladle into mugs. Top with vegan whipped cream, if desired.

  5. Serve hot and enjoy!
