How To Make Perfect Sushi Rice
The ideal foundation for any sushi dish, fluffy and perfectly seasoned sushi rice.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 1/4 cups water
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions

Rinse the sushi rice in cold water until the water runs clear.

In a medium pot, combine the rice and water and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and cover with a tight-fitting lid, cook for 15 minutes.

Remove the pot from heat and let the rice stand covered for 10 minutes.

In a separate pot, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt together until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.

Transfer the cooked rice to a large bowl and pour the vinegar mixture over it, gently folding until the rice is well-coated and has a shiny appearance.
