How To Make Gluten-Free Baguette Recipe

A crisp, golden gluten-free baguette that’s delicious plain or toasted.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp xanthan gum
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, xanthan gum, sugar, salt, and yeast.

  2. Add vinegar and warm water, and mix until a smooth dough forms.

  3. Shape dough into a 12 inch baguette and place on a greased baking sheet.

  4. Brush the baguette with egg white.

  5. Cover with a damp towel and let rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.

  6. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  7. Bake for 50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

  8. Allow the baguette to cool on a wire rack before slicing.
