Ingredients

  • 8 oz gluten free pasta
  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup gluten free bread crumbs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp gluten free all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the gluten free pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.

  3. Sprinkle the flour over the onions and garlic, and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

  4. Slowly whisk in the milk, and continue whisking until the mixture thickens.

  5. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.

  6. Stir in the drained tuna and frozen peas, then add the cooked pasta. Mix well to combine.

  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.

  8. In a small bowl, combine the gluten free bread crumbs with a tablespoon of melted butter. Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture over the casserole.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is heated through.

  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
