How To Make Easy Easter Biscuits
Delicious and festive biscuits perfect for Easter celebrations.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk
- Food coloring (optional)
- Assorted sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
-
Add vanilla extract and milk to the flour mixture. Stir until a soft dough forms. If desired, divide the dough into different bowls and add a few drops of food coloring to each portion.
-
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Use cookie cutters to cut out Easter-inspired shapes and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.
-
If desired, decorate the biscuits with sprinkles before baking.
-
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the biscuits to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
