How To Make Crispy Fried Chicken

Golden brown and crunchy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken legs or thighs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, thyme, and black pepper.

  2. Dip each chicken piece in buttermilk, then roll in the flour mixture until evenly coated.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan and fry chicken pieces for about 8-10 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. Drain excess oil on paper towels before serving.
