How To Make CPK Kung Pao Spaghetti Recipe

A fusion of Italian and Chinese flavors combined in a spicy spaghetti dish.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into small bite-size pieces
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1/3 cup diced green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until fully cooked.

  3. Add bell peppers, peanuts, green onions, garlic, and ginger to the skillet and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.

  4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili garlic sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar.

  5. Add cooked spaghetti and sauce to the skillet. Toss until spaghetti is evenly coated and everything is heated through.

  6. Serve hot.
