How To Make Blackberry Pie
A delicious and sweet dessert made with fresh blackberries, enclosed in a flaky crust.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
-
In a large bowl, combine the blackberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until well combined and set aside.
-
Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish. Press it gently to cover the bottom and sides.
-
Pour the blackberry filling into the pie crust and spread it evenly.
-
Roll out the second pie crust and cut it into strips to create a lattice pattern on top of the filling.
-
Gently press the edges of the pie crusts together to seal them. Trim any excess dough.
-
Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
-
Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
