Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup of blackberries
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle.

  3. Transfer the pastry to a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  4. In a bowl, combine the sliced pears, blackberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Mix well.

  5. Arrange the pear and blackberry mixture in the center of the pastry, leaving a 2-inch border.

  6. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling, pleating as necessary.

  7. Brush the pastry with beaten egg.

  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

  9. Allow the crostata to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
