Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup tamarind paste
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper.

  3. In a small saucepan, combine tamarind paste, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and lime juice. Cook over low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze is smooth and heated through.

  4. Place salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. Brush glaze generously over each salmon fillet.

  6. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, basting with remaining glaze halfway through cooking time.

  7. Remove from oven and top with chopped cilantro.
