Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 8 ounces cooked ham, diced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a circle, about 6 inches in diameter.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced ham, shredded mozzarella, Parmesan, diced bell peppers, onion, marinara sauce, oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper.

  4. Spoon a quarter of the filling onto one half of each dough circle, leaving a small border around the edges.

  5. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.

  6. Place the calzones onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  7. Brush the tops of the calzones with the beaten egg.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the calzones are golden brown and crispy.

  9. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
