  • 4 cups of cubed stale bread
  • 2 cups of peeled and diced apples
  • 1/2 cup of raisins
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp of ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread, diced apples, and raisins.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

  4. Pour the milk mixture over the bread and apples. Stir gently to combine, ensuring that all the bread is soaked.

  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown on the top.
