Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup of whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 4 fresh figs, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and transfer to a baking sheet.

  3. In a bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, honey, salt, and pepper.

  4. Spread the ricotta mixture onto the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

  5. Arrange the sliced figs on top of the ricotta mixture.

  6. Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg.

  7. Bake the tart for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

  8. Let the tart cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
