Ingredients
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until the dough comes together.

Press the dough into a greased 9-inch (23cm) round baking pan, smoothing the surface with your fingers or a spatula.

Use a fork to prick the dough all over.

Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

Cut into wedges or squares while still warm.

Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
