Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.

  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, folding gently until well combined.

  6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9-inch round cake pan.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

  9. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
