How To Make The Ritz-Carlton’s Baked Alaska Recipe
A classic dessert made with sponge cake, ice cream, and meringue, baked until golden brown.

Ingredients
- 4 slices of sponge cake
- 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
- 4 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425°F.

Place 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of each slice.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.

Slowly add in the sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until stiff peaks form.

Cover the ice cream and sponge cake completely with the meringue mixture.

Bake the Baked Alaska in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
