Ingredients

  • 2 cups glutinous rice flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup sweet bean paste
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, water, sugar, and vegetable oil. Mix until a smooth batter forms.

  2. Grease a square baking dish with vegetable oil. Pour half of the batter into the dish.

  3. Steam the batter in a steamer for 15 minutes.

  4. Spread sweet bean paste evenly over the steamed batter. Pour the remaining batter over the sweet bean paste.

  5. Steam the cake for another 30 minutes or until cooked through.

  6. Remove from the steamer and let it cool completely.

  7. Once cooled, cut into small squares or rectangles.

  8. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the cake slices on both sides until golden brown.

  9. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the fried cakes.

  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
