Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 bunch Chinese greens (bok choy or choy sum), trimmed and chopped
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Set aside.
-
Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
Brush the salmon fillets with half of the sticky sauce mixture.
-
Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until cooked through and flaky.
-
While the salmon is baking, heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped Chinese greens and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
-
In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
-
Pour the remaining sticky sauce mixture into the skillet with the Chinese greens. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
-
Serve the sticky salmon fillets over the stir-fried Chinese greens.
-
Enjoy!
