Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 bunch Chinese greens (bok choy or choy sum), trimmed and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Set aside.

  3. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. Brush the salmon fillets with half of the sticky sauce mixture.

  5. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until cooked through and flaky.

  6. While the salmon is baking, heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped Chinese greens and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until tender-crisp.

  7. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water to create a slurry.

  8. Pour the remaining sticky sauce mixture into the skillet with the Chinese greens. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.

  9. Serve the sticky salmon fillets over the stir-fried Chinese greens.
