Ingredients

  • 8 chicken thighs
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, garlic, and ginger.

  3. Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the sauce over them, making sure they are well coated.

  4. Bake the chicken thighs for 25-30 minutes, or until they are fully cooked, basting them with the sauce halfway through.

  5. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Remove the chicken from the oven and brush the tops with the cornstarch slurry.

  6. Turn on the broiler and broil the chicken for 2-3 minutes, or until the glaze becomes sticky and caramelized.

  7. Garnish the chicken thighs with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

  8. Serve the Asian glazed chicken thighs hot with steamed rice or vegetables.
