  • 2 blood oranges
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt cake pan.

  2. Zest one of the blood oranges and set the zest aside. Juice both oranges and set the juice aside.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the granulated sugar, olive oil, eggs, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and the zest of one blood orange. Whisk until well combined.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

  6. Fold in 1/4 cup of the blood orange juice.

  7. Pour the batter into the greased bundt cake pan and smooth the top.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert it onto a wire rack to cool completely.

  10. Once the cake has cooled, drizzle the remaining blood orange juice over the top and dust with powdered sugar.

  11. Slice and serve.
