How To Make Panko-Breaded Pork Parmigiana
We can never thank the Italian people enough for inventing pizza and pasta. And you can enjoy these anytime with these easy-to-follow Italian recipes, while you take a sip of your wine! Bon Apetit!
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a shallow dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Dip each pork chop into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
Place the breaded pork chops onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the pork is cooked through.
Remove the pork chops from the oven and evenly spoon marinara sauce over each chop. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Serve the Panko-Breaded Pork Parmigiana hot with pasta or a side salad.
