Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a shallow dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Dip each pork chop into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.

  4. Place the breaded pork chops onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the pork is cooked through.

  5. Remove the pork chops from the oven and evenly spoon marinara sauce over each chop. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.

  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.

  8. Serve the Panko-Breaded Pork Parmigiana hot with pasta or a side salad.
