  • 4 slices of banana bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Butter or oil, for cooking
  • Maple syrup, for serving
  • Sliced bananas and chopped nuts, for garnish (optional)


  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.

  2. Dip each slice of banana bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.

  3. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt some butter or heat some oil.

  4. Place the soaked slices of banana bread onto the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.

  5. Remove from the skillet and serve immediately with maple syrup. Garnish with sliced bananas and chopped nuts if desired.
