How To Make Thyme and Cheddar French Toast
Sweet with just the right hit of savory, this French toast recipe is a richer and cheesier variation of a breakfast classic!

Ingredients
- ¼cupbutter,melted
- ¼cupmilk
- 2crusty bread,thick slices
- 2tspdried thyme leaves
- ⅓cupsharp cheddar cheese,shredded
- salt and cracked black pepper,to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Whisk the melted butter and milk together with a fork. Soak the bread slices in the milk mixture, turning to cover both sides completely. Sprinkle half of the thyme over one side of the bread pieces.

Heat a dry skillet over medium-low heat, and fry the bread for about 5 minutes, thyme-side down, until lightly browned.

Sprinkle the remaining thyme over the bread, then turn over and fry for about 5 minutes more until lightly browned.

Transfer to a baking sheet, then sprinkle with the Cheddar cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.

Remove and serve immediately with salt and cracked pepper. Enjoy!
