How To Make Dutch Cheese Soup Recipe
A warm and creamy soup made with Gouda cheese, perfect for a chilly day.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup grated Gouda cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped chives, for garnish
Instructions

In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.

Add the flour and stir for 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in the chicken broth, then the milk, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.

Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and stir in the Gouda cheese until melted and smooth.

Season with salt and pepper.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped chives.
