How To Make Dutch Mustard Soup
Savory and creamy soup with a tangy kick from mustard, perfect for a cozy night in.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp flour
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tbsp Dutch mustard
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped fresh chives, for garnish
Instructions

Melt butter in a soup pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft and translucent.

Add flour, stir until well combined. Gradually pour in stock, whisking constantly to prevent lumps.

Bring soup to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

Stir in heavy cream and mustard, continue cooking for another 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Using an immersion blender or in batches in a regular blender, puree soup until smooth.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh chives.
