  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.

  2. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the pot, and cook until the vegetables are softened.

  3. Stir in the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.

  4. Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it cook for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  5. Serve the homemade chili hot, garnished with your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, chopped onions, sour cream, or cilantro.
