How To Make African Pumpkin Fritters Recipe
Delicious and wholesome fritters made with pumpkin, spices, and flour.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups of pumpkin puree
- 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp of ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp of ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp of ground cloves
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of cornstarch
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 2 tbsp of brown sugar
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions

In a bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar.

Add dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and stir until well combined.

Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.

Using a small ice cream scoop, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the oil and fry until golden brown, flipping occasionally.

Remove fritters from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
