How To Make Pasta House Baked Mostaccioli Recipe
A classic Italian-American dish with penne pasta, a rich meat sauce, and melted cheese.

Ingredients
- 1 lb penne pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.

Add onion, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper to skillet. Cook until onion is tender.

Stir in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes.

Toss the cooked pasta with the meat sauce and place in a large baking dish.

Top with shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
