Classic Chicken Parmesan with crispy breaded chicken, tangy marinara sauce, and melted cheese on top.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Mix breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese in a shallow dish.

  3. Put flour in another dish and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Whisk eggs in a third dish.

  5. Coat each chicken breast in flour, then dip in egg mixture, and coat with breadcrumb mixture.

  6. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken for about 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.

  7. Transfer chicken to a baking dish and top with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.

  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  9. Serve hot with a side of pasta.
