Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 handful fresh basil leaves
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.

  2. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface.

  3. Place dough onto a baking sheet or pizza stone.

  4. Spread tomato sauce over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the tomato sauce.

  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Drizzle olive oil over toppings.

  8. Place in preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.

  9. Remove from oven and top with fresh basil leaves.

  10. Slice and serve immediately.
