How To Make Sbarro’s Margherita Pizza

Classic Margherita Pizza with fresh tomatoes and basil.

Total: 35 minutes



  • 1 lb. pizza dough
  • 1 cup San Marzano tomato sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.

  2. Roll out pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface and transfer to a greased pizza pan.

  3. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough.

  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.

  5. Arrange tomato slices over the cheese.

  6. Season with salt and pepper.

  7. Drizzle olive oil over the pizza.

  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

  9. Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh basil leaves.

  10. Slice and serve hot.
