  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2-3 roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.

  2. Roll out the pizza dough and place it on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.

  3. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the tomato sauce. Arrange the sliced tomatoes over the cheese.

  4. Drizzle the pizza with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

  5. Bake the pizza in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

  6. Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle fresh basil leaves on top of the pizza.
