How To Make Fountain Blue Restaurant s French Toast Recipe

This classic French Toast is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, served with warm maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of Texas Toast bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp of nutmeg
  • 4 tbsp of unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat a nonstick skillet on medium heat.

  2. Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon and nutmeg in a shallow bowl.

  3. Dip the bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides.

  4. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet and cook French toast until golden brown on both sides (about 2-3 minutes per side).

  5. Repeat with remaining bread slices, adding butter to the skillet as needed.

  6. Dust French toasts with powdered sugar and serve with warm maple syrup.
