How To Make Emeril Lagasse Shrimp Creole Recipe
A classic Louisiana Creole dish made with succulent shrimp, tomatoes, peppers, and just the right amount of spices.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the onion, green bell pepper, and celery. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for another minute.

Stir in the smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme, and bay leaf.

Add the diced tomatoes (undrained) and Worcestershire sauce.

Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 10 minutes.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 5 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve over cooked rice and garnish with fresh parsley.
