  • 6 fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Melt the butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, 3/4 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Mix in the milk and vanilla extract until well combined.

  5. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish.

  6. Arrange the peach slices on top of the batter.

  7. Sprinkle the remaining sugar over the peaches.

  8. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
