Ingredients

  • 500g ground chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground chicken, garlic, ginger, green onions, cilantro, soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, egg, and breadcrumbs.

  2. Shape the mixture into small patties, about 2 inches in diameter.

  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook the chicken cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.

  4. Serve the Thai chicken cakes with sweet chili sauce on the side.
