Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (about 4 pounds)
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, paprika, and dried thyme.

  3. Place the chicken in a roasting pan and generously rub the garlic mixture all over the chicken, including the cavity.

  4. Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the chicken with the juices every 30 minutes.

  5. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.

  6. Serve the Greek-style roast chicken with your favorite sides and enjoy!
