Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup sherry
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1/4 cup chopped dates

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the sherry, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, cornstarch, garlic powder, and ground ginger.

  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken thighs, making sure they are fully coated.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and sticky.

  5. While the chicken is baking, toast the sliced almonds in a dry pan over medium heat until golden brown.

  6. Remove the chicken from the oven and sprinkle with toasted almonds and chopped dates. Serve hot.
