Ingredients

  • 3 cups of diced pineapple
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1/4 cup of butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

  2. Toast the bread slices and cut them into cubes. Set aside.

  3. In a blender, puree the diced pineapple until smooth.

  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pineapple puree, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, egg yolks, and melted butter. Mix well.

  5. Fold in the bread cubes until they are fully coated with the pineapple mixture.

  6. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.

  7. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the pineapple-bread mixture.

  8. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.

  9. Bake for 40 minutes or until the souffle is puffy and golden.

  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
