Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 (6-ounce) steaks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion

Instructions

  1. Rub the steaks with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to desired doneness.

  3. In a separate skillet, heat the black beans, diced tomatoes, and red onion over medium heat until heated through, about 5 minutes.

  4. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.

  5. In a small bowl, mix together the chopped cilantro and lime juice.

  6. Serve the steaks with the beans and top with the cilantro-lime mixture.
