How To Make Beef Stew

Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds beef stew meat, cubed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef stew meat and brown on all sides.

Remove the meat from the pot and set aside. Add the onion and garlic to the pot and sauté until fragrant and translucent.

Return the beef stew meat to the pot and add the carrots, potatoes, beef broth, red wine, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 2 hours, or until the beef is tender and the flavors have melded together.

Remove the bay leaf before serving. Serve hot and enjoy!
