How To Make Fava Bean Hummus Recipe

A vegan, protein-packed version of classic hummus made with fava beans and blended to creamy perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of fava beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of tahini
  • 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Optional: paprika and parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, add fava beans, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, and cumin.

  2. While blending, add olive oil bit by bit until smooth.

  3. Add salt and black pepper to taste.

  4. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with paprika and parsley.
