How To Make Whole Grain Veggie Burger Recipe

A healthy and delicious veggie burger made with whole grains and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1 cup cooked black beans
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped spinach
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mash the black beans.

  2. Add cooked quinoa, brown rice, grated carrots, chopped spinach, diced onions, parsley, breadcrumbs, olive oil, cumin powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  3. Mix everything together.

  4. Form the mixture into patties.

  5. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and spray with cooking spray.

  6. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until browned and crispy.

  7. Serve the patties on whole wheat buns with your favourite toppings.
