How To Make Liam’s Veggie Burger Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz.) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher.

  2. Add in the bread crumbs, onions, mushrooms, cilantro, egg, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  3. Form the mixture into 4 patties of equal size.

  4. Preheat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Coat the skillet with cooking spray.

  5. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. Serve the patties on burger buns with your choice of toppings.
