How To Make Whole Grain Cornbread Recipe
A hearty and flavorful twist on traditional cornbread, made with whole grain flour.

Ingredients
- 1 cup whole grain flour
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, and melted butter.

Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Pour batter into a greased 8-inch square baking pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
