How To Make Sage and Onion Stuffing

Stuffing is a great add-on to your main dishes. More than just something to fill the turkey with during Thanksgiving, stuffing is a wonderful side dish to complement your dish of choice. There’s no stopping you in enjoying this stuffing recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups bread cubes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the bread cubes, chopped sage, salt, and black pepper. Add the cooked onion and mix well.

  4. Gradually add the chicken broth to the bread mixture, stirring until evenly moistened.

  5. Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

  7. Serve hot with your favorite roast dinner.
